Terms of Delivery

General delivery terms

    Delivery methods: We arrange the delivery and return of all rented artworks via Swiss Post or a designated courier service, if applicable (e.g., for Masterpieces or Business Customers).

    Delivery timeframes: We deliver the artwork to the address specified by the Customer within five (5) working days upon completion of the order. Similarly, you shall return your artwork to us within five (5) working days after the end of the rental period:

    Packaging

    Iconoklast ensures that all artworks are professionally packaged for safe transit.  In particular, we deliver all rented artworks in a protective packaging box. Please retain and store this packaging in a dry and safe environment, as we require you to return the rented artwork in the same protective packaging box.

    If the artwork is returned in packaging other than the one provided by us, or if the provided packaging is damaged to the extent that it cannot be reused (excluding normal wear and tear from shipping), we reserve the right to charge a fee of CHF 50 per box.

    Delivery package contents

    Along with the rented artwork, you will receive the following items as part of our delivery:

    • A signature hanging system to ensure secure installation of the artwork on your wall with instructions.
    • A postage-paid return label for easy return shipping of the artwork.
    • An envelope containing detailed instructions on how to properly care for the rented artwork and how to repackage and return the artwork to us.

    Shipping costs

    The first delivery of an artwork for any new Customer is free of charge.

    If this is not your first order at Iconoklast, the standard return delivery fee using Swiss Post depends on the size of the artwork and is transparently presented on the website during the ordering process. This fee is charged alongside the first rental payment and upon each artwork exchange.

    If a courier service is required, we will communicate the shipping cost separately to you depending on the artwork and shipping address.

    Insurance during transit

    The delivery and return of rented artworks are handled by Swiss Post or a designated courier service, both of which carry liability for damages incurred during transit, provided the parcel is properly packaged.

    Iconoklast ensures that all artworks are securely packaged for shipping. However, if any damage occurs during transit, Customers must report it immediately upon receipt (no later than 48 hours) to us in writing (by email). The liability for any damages resulting from the shipping process rests with the carrier, provided that the artwork was packaged in compliance with the packaging standards supplied by Iconoklast.

    In cases of damage claims, we require your cooperation in facilitating the necessary communications with Swiss Post or the courier service.

    Returns

    • Return timeline: Customers must return the artwork at the end of the rental period, unless the agreement is extended or renewed. The Customer will be responsible for coordinating the return shipping within five (5) working days after the rental period ends in the original packaging box using the provided postage-paid sticker. The Customer does not need to return the signature hanging system.
    • Business Customer Return Arrangements: Business Customers may be subject to special return arrangements, which will be agreed upon in the rental agreement. This may include scheduled pickups by professional art handlers or couriers.
    • Failure to Return Artworks: If the return is delayed, Iconoklast reserves the right to claim damages as specified in the Terms of Service and to pursue legal action to recover the artwork and the amount due.

    Special provisions for Business Customers

    Business Customers renting artwork for commercial spaces, specific delivery and return conditions may apply. This includes the option to request specialized shipping and installation services for an additional fee, as well as the ability to schedule deliveries at non-standard business hours.

    Artworks rented by Business Customers will be subject to inspection upon return to ensure that no damage or improper handling occurred during the rental period. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of the Business Customers, and additional fees for repairs or restoration may be charged.

    Customer support

      Iconoklast provides Customer support throughout the delivery and return process. If there are any issues or concerns related to the delivery or condition of the artwork upon arrival, Customers should contact Iconoklast immediately for assistance at contact@iconoklast.ch .
